Early this morning as the African sun breaks, venture out for a game drive to look for big cats, elephant, buffalo and many antelope species. You are able to spend the whole day exploring the park with your private vehicle and guide.  O/N Ishasha Jungle Lodge

Day 4Drive to Bwindi National Park

Drive approx. 2.5hrs to Bwindi National Park, located in south western Uganda on the edge of the Great Rift Valley- considered the most diverse forest in Uganda.  The park contains almost one half of the world’s population of the endangered Mountain Gorilla, making it an extremely valuable conservation site. Bwindi is also home to several endangered bird species with very limited ranges, and acts as an important catchment area for many rivers, supplying water for agriculture in the surrounding region.  Dinner and overnight. O/N Buhoma Lodge (High end)/ Mahogany springs (Mid-range)/Haven Lodge (Low budget).

Day 5Gorilla trekking Safari

Following breakfast, transfer to the National Park Headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your gorilla tracking experience. You will be guided by experienced guides into the dense forest in search of the Mountain gorillas. It is a life time experience viewing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild.  This is a unique travel experience you won’t soon forget!

After the trek, return to your lodge and time permitting, go for and afternoon community walk. Please note: tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks up to six hours or longer, at high altitudes, not uncommon.   O/N Buhoma Lodge (High end)/ Mahogany springs (Mid-range)/Haven Lodge (Low budget).

Day 6Drive approx. 6-7hrs to L. Mburo National Park.

This morning you depart for Lake Mburo National Park, approx. 6-7 hours’ drive. Enjoy game drives in the park in the afternoon.  Lake Mburo National Park is home to elands, Burchell’s zebras, impalas and a wide variety of bird species.  Free of carnivores, Lake Mburo provides a unique opportunity to see the park on foot and the chance to view vast numbers of diverse hoofed animals. Lake Mburo National Park works with local communities to create an environment in which domestic livestock peacefully coexist with the park’s native wildlife.  Overnight at Rwakobo Rock Lodge

Day 7L. Mburo and Departure.

In the company of a ranger guide, and before driving to Entebbe, embark on a nature walk in Lake Mburo where you may have the chance of viewing the grazers like the Zebras, bush bucks, elands, Impalas, grazing local cattle and a vast number of birds. Visit the salt lick area where a number of animals gather to enjoy the salty taste of soil.

Drive back to Entebbe, approx. 5-6 hours with an en-route stop at the Equator. Proceed to the airport for your late international flight out.
