After your breakfast, we shall drive toward the Southern region of Uganda, past interesting features including the Equator line and proceed to L.Mburo National Park. L. Mburo National Park is the smallest of the savannah parks in Uganda and is also considered the most family-friendly as it features no big cats, and therefore allows for walking, horseback, and cycling tours. Lake Mburo NP was originally gazetted in 1933 as a hunting area, was then upgraded to a game reserve in 1963 and finally declared a national park in 1983. You will have an early breakfast today before you start for the Gorilla park- Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park. You will drive through the local communities of South Western Uganda for approx. 6-7 hrs before getting to the park. The mist-covered hills and ancient forests of Bwindi, fashion a fascinating scenic view. You will arrive late afternoon, check in at the lodge and have the rest of the evening at leisure. Go Gorilla tracking-after an early breakfast, you will transfer the park offices where the activity starts. Following briefing from the park officials, accompanied by you guides for the day and your porter, you will enter into the Forest. The rainforest is stunning as it offers a striking, heavily forested and dense landscape habitat for numerous primates. Animals in this forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. This park is best known for the mesmerizing gorillas. The Gorilla tracking experience can be a challenging one due to the terrain, none the less, an awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique travel experience. Drive approx. 2hrs to Kihihi airstrip for a scheduled domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. The local airline has 3 departures from Kihihi airstrip to the airport; morning, mid-morning and afternoon departure. Depending on your plans after the Ugandan trip you can either stay in the purport and connect to your international departure flight or exit the airport to freshen up at a hotel.
