Drive to the airport after your breakfast for a morning scheduled domestic flight to Kihihi airstrip. You will find a Swanair representative waiting to transfer you to the lodge, approx. 2 hrs drive time. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a host to a rich fauna, and most of the butterfly species. It is also a home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla’s population. You will have lunch at the lodge, and in the afternoon, you have several optional activities that you could participate in; Buhoma community walk, a nature- walk in the forest or relax at the lodge. Go Gorilla tracking-after an early breakfast, you will transfer the park offices where the activity starts. Following briefing from the park officials, accompanied by you guides for the day and your porter, you will enter into the Forest. The rainforest is stunning as it offers a striking, heavily forested and dense landscape habitat for numerous primates. Animals in this forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. This park is best known for the mesmerizing gorillas.
